7 Natural Uses for Baking Soda

Baking soda is an incredibly versatile ingredient that can be used as a cleanser, a cooking ingredient and a natural medicine.
It is affordable, effective and easy to use. Therefore, you can replace commercial products with this simple ingredient and avoid the negative effects of harmful chemicals.

Here are several uses of baking soda:

Clean and relax your feet

Dip your feet in water with 3 tablespoons of baking soda. For better effects, massage them gently. Do this twice a week and you will notice some great results. You can also add baking soda to your bath to energise and relax the entire body.

Heartburn and stomach problems

Baking soda is a powerful antacid, so if you add 2 teaspoons of a cup of cold water and drink, you will immediately relieve heartburn and stomach problems.

Stop sweating

You can use the mixture of water and baking soda to stop excessive sweating and remove bad odours. It will keep the armpits dry in a way free of chemicals, and give the same effects as the powdered deodorant products.

Calming sunburns

Add half a cup of baking soda to your bath and soak in the warm water for about half an hour. For better effects, do not use a towel, but the air will dry the body.

Relieve bee stings

It is beneficial in the case of bee and bee stings since its alkaline qualities combat the formic acid present in the wound and eliminate the external pollutant. For best effects, remove the stinger and apply a mixture of water and bicarbonate of soda to the affected area.

Improvement in shampoo

Add a little baking soda to your regular shampoo to increase its cleansing properties and make hair brighter. If your hair is too greasy, dip the combs and brushes in a mixture of bicarbonate of soda and water, and comb it to degrease it. Then wash it off.
